This year, 2020, marks the 45th year of settlement for the Vietnamese Community in Australia.

This year's TET festival promises to be bigger than even before.

What does TET mean?

TET Festivals are all about celebrating the Lunar New Year, returning home to the family and friends, having a large feast, play traditional games and give out red pocket.

Each year, one of the twelve zodiac animals are celebrated, and each have a special quality for the year.

This year, 2020, is the Year of the Rat, and those born in this year are said to possess these qualities: diligence, compassion and generosity.

So for those born in the Year of the Rat, have a great year and celebrate it in grand style at our festival!

Theme: Pioneer

The theme for our festival this year is Pioneer.

This is a reflection on the renewal of the zodiac cycle (the Rat is the first of the 12 to be celebrated), and 45 years of settlement for the Vietnamese Community in Australia.

For 2020, the TET Festival will be showcasing pioneering spirit with several new exciting additions, like Minus Twelve (our dessert stall) and Nemesis (a Nerf War Arena).
